Get Beautiful Hair

Last year, I had chopped my long hair off, a decision I regretted three days in. I really wanted my long hair back and tried everything to make them grow faster. My hair still haven't reached the length they used to be, but they've grown more than 4 inches in the last 6 months!
I always longed for beautiful, shiny and soft hair. My natural hair type is wavy and my hair are almost unmanageable in humidity (almost like Monica Geller!).

Here are some tips that will help you in getting the luscious locks you always dreamed of: 
  1. Don't use heat
    The first rule to have healthy hair is to not use heat at all in your hair. If you must, use it once a week, not more than that. Heat can damage your hair, and you will end up with split-ends.
  2. Wash your hair with cold water
    Hot water weakens your hair. Always wash you hair with cold water. This helps in making your hair shinier, too.
  3. Use conditioner
    Use conditioner to help make your hair softer and more manageable. Conditioner gives your hair the moisture that shampoo strips it off.
  4. Use a leave-in conditioner
    Leave-in conditioners make your hair softer and help reduce hair fall. They also give you volume in some cases. They also protect your hair from daily pollutants.
  5. Drink loads of water
    Your hair grow longer when you drink loads of water. They also get shinier and prettier. Try it. What's the harm in drinking water, eh?
  6. Stop using heat tools
    Girls usually straighten their hair everyday. If you one of those girls, please stop. You will end up with inches of split-ends. Your hair will be damaged than healthy. Just do yourself a favour and don't use heated tools.
  7. Invest in a wide-toothed comb
    Don't comb your hair right after you have washed them, rather let them air dry first. Wet hair fall a lot. If you must comb them, invest in a wide-toothed comb and ditch the hair brush.
  8. Oil your hair regularly
    Oiling your scalp stimulates hair growth and hair oil leaves your hair deeply conditioned and shinier. Overnight oiling has several benefits.
  9. Wash your hair regularly
    Wash your hair twice a week, if not more. You hair get dirty faster than boy's hair do because they are longer.
  10. Eat healthy food
    Good input produces greater output. If you eat healthy food, your skin glows, your hair shine. If you eat junk food, you get zits.
  11. Don't colour your hair
    All kinds of hair colour has ammonia, which is harmful for your hair. Also, hair colour bleaches your hair and makes them get whiter sooner in life than later.
  12. Let your hair air-dry
    Ditch the hair-dryer and let your hair air dry. the damage decreases and your hair look beautiful.

  1. Thanks! These were really helpful tips :) I had hair down to my waist and I cut it to be slightly below my shoulder. I regretted it the second I got it done! But I feels as though it is easier to manage, and will help my hair grow healthier and longer. :)

      But, yeah, short hair are easier to manage, AND easier to wash with cold water in winters:P ;)

  2. Aargh, cold water! I've tried that before, but I'm too weak to fight the cold haha. I wish I had thicker hair. But there's nothing to do about that.
