REVIEW: Organic Harvest 3 in 1 Facewash
Out of the four things that I got in my MSM August Express Box, the Organic Harvest face wash was one. Now, just like nelf, it was the msm box that introduced me to the Organic Harvest brand. I've been using this face wash daily for a few days and I write my thoughts about it in this post...
Price: 215/- for 50 ml
You can get this on Amazon:
Organic Harvest is a Delhi-Based personal care brand which makes homegrown organic products that include over 30 hair, skin and body care products. According to them, "Organic Harvest puts the power of plants in all its products. We have developed a range of high-performance products, combining the power of plants with ORGANIC and NATURAL ingredients."
The face wash is free of Parabens, mineral oil, paba and animal.
Now you would say, "Okay, the face wash is free from Parabens, but, why should I care?"
Parabens are a class of widely-used preservatives in cosmetic products and are known to cause skin irritations with people with paraben allergies. Studies indicate that methylparaben applied on the skin may react with UVB leading to increased skin aging and DNA damage.
The 3-in-1 Face wash claims to cleanse, scrub and whiten your skin.
The face wash is a translucent aquamarine formula which smells an awful lot like Cinthol Soap. The face wash doubles up as a scrub and contains tiny blue beads that exfoliate the skin while cleansing it. I get a lot of blackheads on and around my nose since I have large pores in that area. I have been using this face wash in the mornings everyday and I haven't been exfoliating my face with anything else. I have noticed that my blackheads have reduced significantly since I have started using this product. The face wash lathers nicely and I don't need to use a lot of product to wash my face; just a pea-sized amount does it for me, which means that the product would last longer. After I have done washing my face, I've noticed that it leaves me with a 'fresh' feeling and a tingling sensation. I don't know why, but I feel really 'clean' after using the face wash.
I really love Organic products and I wish that I could buy things like these, but, as a college student on a tight budget, I feel that I need to wait till I start earning. I looked around the brand's website for products that I might be interested in, and liked a handful. Although the prices aren't as high as that of a premium brand which uses chemicals, its a little out of my price range, since the marginal utility of money, for now, is greater for me. I feel that I would need to save money in order to buy something from the brand, but, on the flipside, if you aren't on a tight budget, I'd definitely recommend this brand to you since its organic and natural which is actually good for your skin.
I haven't used this product long enough to notice a change in my complexion, so I can't say much about the whitening aspect but, I really love this face wash. I'd recommend this to a friend who's looking for a facewash which is good for your skin and not laced with chemicals and what-not.
